About Us

Founded in 2010 by Dr. Sultan Zayid Mohammed Al Hinai, Zayid Sons Mining L.L.C has grown into a major mining company specializing in the extraction and trade of raw materials. We operate in Oman, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania with a fleet of cutting-edge machinery and a commitment to sustainability and safety.

Founder and CEO

Dr. Sultan has over 15 years of experience in the mining sector, international trade of minerals, and marketing. He is also one of the founders and owners of Al Rakha Mining and Investment, a well-recognized mining operations company in Oman.

Projects & Achievements

Chromite and Manganese Mines in Oman and Zimbabwe

Operating multiple mines with significant revenue over the past years, supplying 75% of mine production to the leading ferrochrome plant in Oman, Al Tamman Indsil Ferro Chrome L.L.C.

Expansion into Tanzania

Since 2021, the company has extended its operations to Tanzania, focusing on producing green energy and EV-related raw metals, including Copper and Graphite.

Operations in Zimbabwe

In early 2024, the company expanded into Zimbabwe, focusing on high-grade Chromite Concentrate, Lithium Oxide, and Beryllium. The company has recently commissioned a Chromite Concentrate Spiral Washing Plant with a monthly production capacity of up to 8,000 metric tons (MT). In addition, the company holds ownership of two alluvial chromite sand deposits spanning 150 hectares and 1,000 hectares, respectively, strengthening its position in the regional mining sector.

Fleet and Licenses

The company owns a fleet of heavy machinery in Oman and Tanzania and has secured over 15 Primary Mining Licenses (PML) for Copper in Tanzania and a large Prospecting License (PL).
